The Heath House News

  • Volunteer Programme Launched

“Friends of The Heath House” has been launched with a volunteer programme that supports the maintenance and renovation of The Heath House, its estate and the formal gardens. The current project is the restoration of the Edwardian Rock Garden. Anyone can volunteer for an occasional hour or two of assistance, or regular participation in the programme. Go to the FOHH website for more information, and contact the Volunteer Co-ordinator to join in or subscribe to the free quarterly newsletter.

  • Asiana Wedding Magazine Photo Shoot

The Heath House gardens were recently chosen as the location for a fashion photoshoot by Asiana Wedding Magazine. For one hectic day the house and grounds were taken over by photographers, stylists and models dressed in fabulously rich costumes. A selection of the photographs, taken by Alexandre Pichon at Asiana Magazine, can be viewed in a special gallery on this website.

  • Cream Teas Draw the Crowds

There’s something about the traditional English cream tea that is simply irresistible. Visitor numbers to our Open Days have doubled since we started offering simple refreshments to visitors. For just £4 per person, you can enjoy a cream tea or cakes and sandwiches in the dining room, or outdoors on the terrace if the weather permits. More substantial fare is available for group tours, details on request.
